We welcome His Excellency Most Rev. Robert Reed, our Regional Bishop to Mary Immaculate of Lourdes today for the conferral of the Sacrament of Confirmation on our parish candidates. Bishop Reed will confer the Sacrament during our 10:30 A.M. Traditional Latin Mass according to the Extraordinary Form.

Our congratulations to the candidates, their sponsors and their families on this important day. With the Sacrament of Confirmation the candidates will become fully initiated Christians, having now received all three of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation”— Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

In the sacramental grace of Confirmation there is embedded the courage to be a faithful witness of the Faith, even to the shedding of one’s blood as a martyr if that should be necessary. May the celebration of the Sacrament as part of our Sunday worship here today strengthen our own sense of faith.

About Our Parish
